COLLECTIVE WORK OF ART FOR HOSPITALS
On June 3, 2020, Groupe Artruisme donated to the Santa Cabrini Hospital a collective work of art by artists Lynne Shand, Éliane Ducros, Caroline Dion, Ani Müller, Guillaume Charbonneau and guest artist Ewa Przezdzik. This gesture is intended to be a mark of appreciation and encouragement, as well as a recognition of the efforts and values of the staff who work so hard and risk their lives in these times of pandemic. We will never forget you. Our artists are working on a next collective work of art.
The Artruism Group is working on the development of a artistic prescription protocol where the various medical stakeholders can prescribe art as an alternative therapy, in order to help people suffering from mental health problems, illness, stress and anxiety and also to break down social isolation. Art therapy workshops help dramatically lower costs in the healthcare system by reducing the number of doctor visits. They increase the speed of healing and reduce the amount of medication etc., as shown in statistics from the All Party Parliamentary Group on Arts, Health and Wellbeing - UK.
Dr. Joe Mazza from our group in collaboration with Dr. Janis Timm-Bottos from Concordia University have already done a research protocol on Art Therapy and Depression, they are only waiting for the society to get back to normal in order to continue their research.
CARDS FOR SENIOR RESIDENCES AND HOSPITALS
During Covid-19 confinement, Ani Müller from our group had the amazing idea of creating hand made cards to distributed to senior residences and hospitals, to help the seniors cope with the confinement and the solitude. Also to thank our care workers in hospital. To this date almost 1500 cards are made by artists: Ani Müller, Lynne Shand, Éliane Ducros, Caroline Dion, Ewa and 5 volunteers.
ON-LIVE ART HIVES
On-line Art Hives cessions will soon take place on our web site to help people with anxiety, depression, loneliness etc.
Five of our artist have a certification from Dr.Janis Timm-Bottos from Concordia Universty, the founder of Art Hives across the world. Our group strongly believe in the power and the benefit of art on people's health.

EXHIBITIONS IN CLINICS AND HOSPITALS
ARTRUISM ORIGINAL ART WORKS exhibited various clinics have been shown to have positive effects, not only on patients, but also on the caregivers.
A British paper from 2007 demonstrated art's "positive effects not only on patient well being but also on health outcome such as length of stay in hospital and pain tolerance." And last year, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts annouced a collaboration with an area hospital to allow doctors to prescribe museum visits to patients.
The largely positive perceptions of staff helps in the implementation of arts in healthcare settings, which enhances care and benefits both patients and healthcare staff. The prospect that art has beneficial effects on patient recovery is widespread.
